Why It Works
"Energy psychology involves super learning and may be the most effective therapy to reprogram dysfunctional unconscious beliefs that control life and biology. It applies to just about every emotional, health, and performance issue you can name and it often works where nothing else will."
- Bruce Lipton, PhD, author of The Biology of Belief
Neuroplasticity refers to the brain’s ability to modify, change, and adapt in response to experience.

EFT uses the "Transformation Sequence" to fire up neural bundles for reprogramming, thus allowing you to recreate yourself and your life.

The steps to lasting transformation are as follows :
Exposure
Many of us go through life just trying to be okay. We feel the need to "keep it together" and focus on the positive. EFT is different in that we encourage you to tell the truth about your stresses and traumas. By doing so, we can target the parts of your brain holding on to these distressing emotions and prepare them for integration and reconsolidation. As Louise Hay said, "If you want to clean the house, you have to first see the dirt."
Contradictory Experience
While we acknowledge the negative aspects of how we feel, we create a contradictory experience in the body through tapping. Our nervous systems are calm and therefore able to relearn responses to ideas or events that once upset us. EFT includes another contradictory experience through self-acceptance and cognitive reframing. In this way, we can liberate ourselves of limiting beliefs, emotional blocks, and unhealthy patterns.
Repetition
Once the stresses and traumas have been exposed and integrated, we repeat the tapping sequence until the old operating system is reprogrammed. You may still have the memory, but it will no longer trigger you the way it once did. You'll have the freedom to be the "watcher" of your emotions and no longer feel controlled by them. I can think of no better gift than emotional freedom. It allows you to be, do, and have all that you desire.
Here's the Science.

The efficacy of EFT has been demonstrated with profound and lasting results.

Anxiety
-
A large-scale study of individuals suffering from anxiety across 11 clinics over a 5.5-year period showed 90% of participants found improvement using tapping, compared to 63% who used cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT). Only three tapping sessions were needed to feel a reduction in symptoms. Complete relief was seen in 76% of participants who tapped, compared with 51% who used CBT. One year later, the improvements were sustained by 78% of the tapping group compared with 69% of the CBT group.

PTSD
-
A study of individuals with complex PTSD showed 63% were symptom-free in 10 or fewer sessions of EFT.

Depression
-
Studies with veterans, health care workers, and college students found a significant reduction in depression after using EFT.
-
A 35% decrease in depression symptoms for those practicing EFT with a professional.

Mind-Body Coherence
-
Physiological indicators of health, such as resting heart rate (RHR), blood pressure (BP), and cortisol have also been shown to significantly decrease after using EFT, indicating improvement. Likewise, happiness levels increased as did immune system function.
-
A 57% decrease in pain and physical symptoms for those practicing EFT with a professional.
-
A 74% decrease in unwanted cravings (i.e. substance use, sugar dependencies, etc.) for those practicing EFT with a professional.
